Researchers from Colorado State University and Sam Houston State University are looking for participants to share their experiences—specifically how these medications may influence body image, identity, and self-expression.

Participation involves a 60–90 minute interview (virtual or in-person), and all responses are confidential. Compensation is available.

You may qualify if you:
• Are 18 or older
• Live in the U.S.
• Have been taking a GLP-1 medication consistently for the past 6 months

By comparison, FY25 had 56 submissions and 20 awards—showing just how strong this year’s start has been.

SHSU students now have more time to apply for the ARC Scholar Award. One undergraduate and one graduate student will each receive $2,000 to support aging-related research during Spring 2026.

Who Can Apply:
âś” Full-time SHSU undergrad or grad (Spring 2026)
âś” Research must focus on aging or aging-related topics
âś” Must work with a faculty mentor
âś” Participation in ARC activities required

New Deadline: December 31, 2025

Faculty mentors must send recommendation letters separately.
