Mitchell County Hospital Health Systems Physical Therapy Department in Beloit, Kansas is currently seeking a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant with a strong work ethic to join our experienced staff. We treat a diverse caseload including outpatient, orthopedics, acute and geriatric patients. Must be a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant in Kansas or be eligible.

MCHHS offers a competitive pay scale and an unique and innovative retirement program, 6.2% match on Social Security Alternate Plan, up to 4% match on Voluntary Retirement Plan, NCK Wellness Center discount, and more excellent benefits. M-F daytime hours with PRN weekend coverage.

MCHHS is a 25 bed critical access hospital located in North Central Kansas with 24-hour Level IV trauma center, acute beds, Swing Bed program, 36 bed resident care center, an Outpatient Specialty Clinic and radiology services including MRI, CT and mammography. We feature robotic-assisted surgery performed by our two staff surgeons as well as Orthopaedic Total Joint Replacements performed monthly. We possess modern hospital facilities with a high-quality reputation in a family oriented community.

🦽Every October, we celebrate National Physical Therapy Month to raise awareness about the many benefits of physical therapy. It's also a great opportunity to appreciate what PTs, PTAs, and students do to transform lives. πŸ‘Ÿ

This October, the theme will focus on the role of physical therapy in optimizing movement and function at any age to support resilience and allow us to enjoy the freedom of movement into our golden years. We will also spotlight prevention, wellness, and enhancing mobility and strength with the help of a PT for work, life, and play.

Our Story

The Hutchinson Community College Physical Therapist Assistant program is designed as a 1+1 program that allows you to take general education classes prior to admission to the program, which can be taken at your own pace! Once admitted, you will complete the training in approximately 12 months, which includes fall, spring, and summer semesters.

Graduates will receive an Associate of Applied Science degree in Physical Therapy Assistant. Once completed, each graduate will be eligible to take the national boards to work as a physical therapist assistant. This certification can follow a graduate anywhere in the United States.

Being a physical therapist assistant is a very rewarding career that allows you to make an impact by helping those with debilitating injuries or illnesses return to work or activities they enjoy.
