HutchCC Blue Dragon Paramedics land in many different places! Austin (Class 47) landed (literally) in Breckenridge, CO while working for Flight for Life and met up with Zach (Class 40) who works for Red, White, and Blue Fire Protection District. IT's a small world!

All HutchCC paramedic graduates earn both State of KS certification and National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) certification. This opens up many possibilities for employment in a wide variety of locations and settings. We are proud of Austin and Zach for chasing their dreams and repping HutchCC in their respective agencies! IS it time for you to start on your dreams? We are accepting applications for our August 2025 paramedic cohort now.

Want to be a part of some great work?!

HutchCC EMS Education is looking for people who have a desire to be a part of teaching the next generation of EMS providers. We have openings for part-time Clinical Site Liaisons and Lab Instructors. If you have an interest in engaging in this important work, we’d love to see an application from you!

Clinical Site Liaisons represent our program in the hospital setting while students are participating in clinicals. This work includes greeting students on arrival, ensuring that students connect with preceptors at the start of the shift, acting as a representative of program should complications or challenges arise, monitoring student engagement, and ensuring students have completed requisite evaluations at the end of the shift. A paramedic or nursing certification/license is preferred, but not required. We are looking for people who have the capacity to advocate for our student’s educational experiences and maintain the accountability of our desired legacy. Hourly wage varies based on credentials.

EMS Lab Instructors teach psychomotor skills in the lab setting. This work includes teaching component skills, reinforcing curriculum knowledge, sharing applicable field experience, and overseeing student engagement during lab sessions. EMS certification is required at or above the level of student being taught. Hourly wage varies based on credentials.

If you would like to be a part of this important work, the journey starts by clicking on this link and completing an application! Apply at

The availability of shifts is dependent upon the number of students enrolled and the needs of the students and faculty. Classroom schedules and locations are subject to change each semester. RESPONSIBILITIES: Essential Functions - Provide a safe and effective learning environment. Pro

Class 53 is studying Obstetrics today with Chrissy Bartel. The balloon exercise is great for explaining Braxton Hicks versus real labor. And it usually dissolves into laughter which is always good for a classroom. Thanks, Chrissy for being a part of our class today!
