Rend Lake College seeks a full-time Industrial Electronics & Maintenance Instructor to teach classes and workshops for Applied Science and Technology Division. Duties will include providing in-class, as well as hands-on lab instruction, industry training and workshops, maintaining records, rosters, and student files, and other duties as assigned. Primary location will be at the Southern Illinois Manufacturing Academy in Mt. Vernon, IL.

This is a 50-week industrial contract, tenure-track position.

QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's Degree in related field required, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Minimum of 2,000 hours of work experience required.
Content and/or Community College teaching and/or industry training experience preferred.
Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential.
All candidates will be required to successfully pass a background screening process
SALARY & BENEFITS
$65,000 - $72,000, or commensurate with experience

This role includes teaching assigned courses, fostering dynamic classroom discussions, developing curriculum, and assessing student learning outcomes. The instructor will also support student success through advising, mentorship, and participation in campus initiatives. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Teach lecture and/or laboratory classes as assigned.
Maintain syllabi, attendance records, contact hours, roster, grades, and student evaluations.
Prepare and submit documentation as requested.
Select, order, prepare, and maintain necessary materials, supplies, and equipment, which aid in the actual classroom instruction.
Supervise and maintain related laboratories and laboratory equipment.
Develop and update curriculum as needed.
Hold office hours as assigned for the purpose of counseling with students concerning course work.
Perform assessment of student learning and participate in college wide assessment program.
Participate in professional development activities both on campus and off campus as requested.
Keep abreast of current trends and information in subject area.
Maintain any required program certifications
Develop and teach competency-based communications courses.
Remain in compliance with accreditation board or governing agency as required by program

This position plays a key role in assisting students with advising & financial aid processes, managing communications, maintaining records & website content, & supporting daily office operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail‑oriented, & committed to providing excellent customer service to students, families, & campus partners in a fast‑paced environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Knowledge of all programs, policies, procedures & personnel of the College.
2. Knowledge of Financial Aid processes.
3. Answer phone calls for Academic Advisement & Financial Aid.
4. Respond to email for Academic Advisement & Financial Aid.
5. Update documents & keep information current on the RLC website for Academic Advisement & Financial Aid.
6. Coordinate all correspondence for Academic Advisement & Financial Aid, mail letters to students, parents, high schools, & others as directed.
7. Assist students with completion of pre-advisement tasks.
8. Provide financial aid information & assist with the application process for grants, loans, scholarship, & student employment.

- Organize, maintain, and track CTE/Grant files and financial reports.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Assist Director-Perkins & CTE with related requirements
- Attend relevant meetings and conferences.- Ensure compliance with CTE specific grants as assigned.
- Track expenditures, recruitment activities, assist with grant reports, process reimbursement requests, compile evaluation data, and other duties as assigned.
- Organize and serve as the main point of contact for area schools and industry leaders involved in CTE/Perkins events to coordinate and support advisory board meetings and grant-funded events.
