ICC’s Main and West campuses will be closed on Tuesday, January 27, due to inclement weather. Out of an abundance of caution, this decision was made to protect the safety of our students and employees. Students are encouraged to check Canvas for instructions and updates from their professors.

The 2026-2027 Hixson Opportunity Award application is open and available to incoming and prospective University of Kansas students from the state of Kansas. The Hixson Opportunity Award is a $6,000 annual scholarship that is renewable for up to four years. It is awarded to 10 incoming KU first-year students who have experienced significant personal and/or financial hardship.

The application is currently available at https://ku.academicworks.com/, and this page on our Admissions site has some detailed information regarding criteria: https://admissions.ku.edu/afford/scholarships/hixson

The deadline for this application is February 1, 2026. Submission of a 2026-2027 FAFSA is required to be considered for eligibility. The 2026-2027 FAFSA is available now at https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa

UB was on the go again! Today we visited Kansas City for an academic enrichment trip to the Titanic exhibit at Union Station. It was a great day filled with learning, yummy food, and fun. Thanks to everyone who attended! ❤️
