Interested in studying abroad this spring? We have an amazing opportunity for you!
-----
Service learning in Costa Rica during Spring Break is an IUPUI Honors tradition! In 2023, we will explore the realities of implementing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on site, while also learning about the diverse aspects of Costa Rica through direct interaction with Costa Ricans.
In this 9 day program (March 11-19, 2023), you will volunteer alongside passionate ocean conservationists and organizations, in the tropical paradise of Uvita in Costa Rica, who are leading the way in sustainability. You will spot dolphins, whales, turtles and marine birds as you explore local beaches, kayak through mangroves, and walk to a local waterfall. You will also visit internationally famous ecotourism sites, including Corcovado National Park and the Ballena Marine (‘Whale Tail’) National Park.
The application portal for this program (https://abroad.iupui.edu/apply-program/iu-programs.html) opens TODAY and will close on October 11, 2022. For more information, contact Dr. Ian McIntosh (Honors International Advisor at [email protected]). We will be hosting an information session early into the Fall Semester, so be on the lookout. 😊
