Max Kade German-American Center IUPUI The mission of the IUI Max Kade German-American Center is to support German-American Studies. Please do not message MKC through Facebook.

The Max Kade German-American Center provides the Indianapolis community, the State of Indiana, and, more broadly, the eastern Midwest with a Center for conducting research on German-American history, language, and culture. The Max Kade Center collaborates with the IUI University Library to develop an

d provide access to the university’s considerable collection of German-Americana texts and research materials. MKC also partners with the Indiana State Library, Indiana Historical Society, Athenaeum Foundation, and the Society for German American Studies.

The Max Kade Center will be closed during the 2025-2026 academic year while the director is on sabbatical. Any questions for the Center should be directed to the IU Indianapolis School of Liberal Arts Dean's office.
