The University of Indianapolis, popularly known as UIndy, is a private institution located just minutes from downtown Indianapolis. Anoukha Metangmo ’27 has known she wanted to be a teacher since the 4th grade.

This summer, she got to put that passion into practice through an internship with the Center for Urban Teaching in Milwaukee—an opportunity made possible by the Cartwright Family Vocation Exploration Internship Stipend.

With the financial support, Anoukha could focus on what mattered most: becoming the best teacher she could be and finding her own "teacher voice."
