Hey everyone! Here are a couple of reminders for our current events that will run on Friday the 13th.

We have our Gleaner's event tomorrow! You can meet us at Gleaners at 1:15pm or at IT at 12:00pm if you need a ride. Waivers will be printed off for you to sign before the event.

Also the last day to donate to the Midwest Food Bank will be tomorrow. The box is set out on the 1st floor of the IT building in front of the informational desk. We want to thank everyone who has currently donated to the cause. Your donations are greatly appreciated!

Yesterday we volunteered at the Indianapolis Humane Society. We were able to assist with; kennel maintenance, grounds upkeep, and kit packing! For the last hour, we were able to socialize with animals that were staying in the shelter. Thank you for everyone who attended, your help was greatly appreciated! We hope to see you at our next event!

Last Friday, we had the opportunity to volunteer at Gleaners Food Bank to help organize their donations. With our help, enough food to feed 8,495 people, was sorted! We want to thank everyone who tagged along for their time and dedication!

Hey guys! Starting Monday, we will be holding a food drive for Paws Pantry here on campus! We will have a large box on the 4th floor of the IT building near the front desk! It would be great to see it full of items! Paws Pantry sent us a wish list and you can find it on the box as well as the attached flyer! Lets fill Paws Pantry!

SoIC had a great time volunteering last week at the Humane Society!

We were able to spread mulch, clean the animal play areas, trim trees and bushes, pick up trash, and of course give the animals some love. A huge THANK YOU to all of the students who dedicated their Friday to helping the community, and to the Humane Society of Indianapolis for allowing us to visit your facility.

The School of Informatics and Computing at IUPUI will be volunteering at the Humane Society of Indianapolis on March 25th from 3:00-6:00pm. We'll meet at 2:00pm in the IT Lobby and carpool to the shelter. Be sure to RSVP to Riley Mineart at [email protected]

We will be having a meeting next Monday February 15th from 5:00-6:00pm in IT 256. This is an exciting opportunity to learn about elections and officer positions! We'll also be sharing service event ideas and suggestions, so please come with ideas :) I'm looking forward to seeing you all at the meeting!
