IUPUI Alternative Breaks sends over 100 students annually across the nation to work with communities

This year, the alternative break experience fits right into your schedule and right in your backyard. One part education, one part service, and one part reflection, our goal is to open your eyes to understanding systemic issues and how you can make a difference in your community.

Abolee in an electrical engineering junior and another of our new trip leaders. She went on a gentrification trip last year and is so excited to lead one over Spring Break.

Even if her name means 'someone who does not talk', do not let that fool you, she talks a lot

🌎🌎~~MEET MAHEEN~~🌎🌎

Maheen is a senior studying Neuroscience and Biology. She became a Co-Coordinator right after being a participant on the mental health trip in ASB 2018. Poverty, LGBTQ+ and Urban Education, and LGBTQ+ Issues Within have been the trips she has lead so far.

Not only she is a very experienced leader in AB and helps us all, but she is also very very involved on campus as a multicultural peer educator, secretary for the LGBTQ+ student alliance, and secretary for minority association of pre-health students.

Even if Maheen seems busy with all her involvement, she stills makes some time to be on Twitter, it's "her everything". Wanna learn more about her, and more importantly, from her? Apply now with the link in our description!

🌺🌺~~MEET BAILEY~~🌺🌺

Bailey is a senior in Exercise Science and one of our amazing trip leaders. She has participated in MLEP and is currently doing research on Public Health.

She is one of our most - if not the most - adventurous members; she even went bungee jumping off the world’s tallest bungee bridge! As you can tell, she has so much energy and always brings her excitement to our training sessions. Cannot wait for you all to find out what trip Bailey will be leading!
