For the last 6 years, Laura Johnson has served as an Allen Endowment Association Board of Directors Member. She has served in the role of Secretary, President Elect and this past year, Laura served as President of the Allen Community College Endowment Association Board of Directors.

On behalf of Director of Development Aimee Thompson and the entire Allen Endowment Association Board of Directors, we wish to thank Laura for all that she has done for the endowment association during these last 6 years. Laura is a person who truly gave it her all with her ideas, her input and her willingness to always put our students first when it came to raising funds for scholarships, activities and athletics and facility projects. We appreciate all that Laura has done for the endowment board and for Allen County! We will miss having Laura on our board more than words can express.

In honor of her years of service, Laura was given 2 plaques today after the Annual Board Meeting was held! One to recognize her 6 years of service and the other was to acknowledge her time as the 2020-21 Board President! Laura is pictured with Director of Development, Aimee Thompson.

There are so many ways that you can make a huge impact for Allen Students! As we continue to move forward with the Centennial Campaign, we ask you to look at the many ways your dollars go directly to our students and help them achieve their goals in higher education. Please click the link below and select an option in an area you connect with as a donor. It can be athletics, academics, activities, like fine arts or agriculture. You can even put your dollars toward facility projects such as the Red Devil Field House. If you wish to establish a pledge agreement for a major gift or an endowed scholarship please contact the endowment office at 620-901-6270. As we inch closer to 2023, which will be the year Allen turns 100...The Centennial Celebration Committee has been working hard to show just how far we have come since 1923. If you are on the Allen campus, we hope you will walk through the main building and check out the Centennial Timeline! Each circle is a collage of photos from each decade between 1923-2000’s. We have a blank circle for the actual year 2023. The 2023 circle will be added the year we complete the celebration! Allen has some amazing history, so come check it out and if you are a former alumni see if you can find yourself! There are a lot of really great memories captured!

The Allen Endowment Association is excited to announce “The President’s Club.” The President’s Club is for donors who have donated at least $1,923 dollars during the current academic year or previous academic year. The number 1923 is significant to Allen Community College, as that was the year the College began. Please be on the lookout for your letter of acknowledgement from the Endowment Office explaining what the President’s Club is, what you will receive as a member, and how to continue your membership. Additionally, alumni who have graduated from Allen within the last 10 years may become an “Emerging Leader” of the President’s Club by donating $500 within the last two years. Have questions?
