The Vietnamese Student Association at the University of Iowa est. 1983

Since 1983, members of the Vietnamese Student Association have been the UI’s representatives for the Vietnamese-American and international community. Through special events and outreach projects, our group of diverse members work together to build appreciation for the Vietnamese heritage and Vietnamese-American values. In additional to cultural awareness, the Vietnamese Student Association also encourages and promotes leadership development, team building, and growth as an individual.

2026-2027 CPP Beneficiary: Collective Freedom 🩵🕊️

Every year, UIowa VSA proudly supports a beneficiary through the Collective Philanthropy Project (CPP) in partnership with UVSA-Midwest & UNAVSA! A portion of proceeds from our fundraisers and Tết Show goes toward supporting our beneficiary.

This year, we are proud to support Collective Freedom! 🩵

Collective Freedom is dedicated to supporting Southeast Asian individuals and families impacted by incarceration, immigration detention, and deportation through community resources, advocacy, and family support. 🫂

There are many ways YOU can support! Join us at our upcoming fundraisers, spread the word, and help us make an impact. September is CPP month so follow Union of the Vietnamese Student Associations of the Midwest for more information and interactive games/giveaways 💙
