β€œI decided to become involved with the GLN because I was seeking community and connection across departments in the humanities.

When I joined we were just getting back to campus after two years of online interactions. The GLN has been a safe space to share with fellow graduate students, learn about their experiences at UCI and their struggles through grad school.

Together we planned many events for the benefit of our community ranging from job-market training to public facing scholarships and to workers rights in academia. More importantly perhaps the GLN has provided a safe and productive writing space to foster a culture of healthy writing.

I hope this activities and more will be continued by future members who are keen in building community in our school.”
