Introduction to Personal Computers - 6902 $40
An introduction to personal computers starting with Microsoft Windows 7 and proper use of the mouse. We will be exploring the filing system in Windows. Where do all your files and pictures go inside that computer? How does the Internet fit in to all the other programs on my computer? Where do all the files I download from email go, and why can't I find them? If you have some of these questions, this might be the hands-on class for you. We will be going at a slow pace so you can feel comfortable asking questions and applying the answers to the computer you are working on. Faculty: Louise Records. We are offering two classes this summer at the Tustin Senior Center:

DIGITAL PHOTO IMAGING - 6903 $40
Learn to use software on the personal computer to fix common flaws in photographs. Crop out unwanted areas of our pictures, fix flash red eye, straighten crooked pictures, and alter the color or lighting of selected objects, remove dust and scratches, and remove or duplicate objects within a picture. Methods and ideas for sharing and archiving photos (digitally and in print) and common problems will be discussed. We will be using Photoshop Elements 9 to work on our photos. This class requires strong mousing skills and good knowledge of maneuvering in Windows (using the task bar to switch applications, retrieving or saving a document to a designated place, etc.). Owning a digital camera is not required. Students provide their own method of data storage (USB drive or blank CDs) and pictures. Faculty: Louise Records. 9:00AM - 10:50AM May-30-2013 -

If you formally used picnik.com, please make a note that service was rolled in to Google plus, and your pictures are NOW SEARCHABLE to the Internet. If you aren't sure, go to Google and search for your name. If you see pictures, you can delete them.

If you are logged in to your gmail account, then you can delete these albums. If you don't have a gmail account then, perhaps you don't need to worry if you don't see any pictures.

As you might notice in the "summer" IVC catalog, the Facebook 3 class and Publisher class is being offered. Let me know if you have an interest and if we have enough people, I will offer it. Facebook - we could cover managing your timeline. I think the class starts towards the end of this month.
