GETTING CRYSTAL ABOUT WHAT YOU DESERVE
Here's another true and magically delicious story that happened to me the other day. And yes, this day definitely goes in my memory file of "holy crap, did that just happen."
Do you have one of those?
So...Imagine a day like any other... the sun was shining, birds were out and about, and I was sitting at my desk, looking at the Panamanian landscape and working on the launch of my new sales training business. I was in the zone, my mind buzzing with ideas and strategies. But there was one thing that I was struggling with - who was I going to serve?
Unlike so many times in the past, I wanted to take this far more seriously and really give my undivided focus and attention to my ideal client who would best gain from acquiring the tools of subconscious sales psychology. Said differently, I wanted to be crystal clear about my ideal client. So, I decided to host my own self-guided deep-dive avatar workshop, to discover my most desired client.
My goal was simple. This time, I wanted my avatar to be so vivid, so bright, and so real in my mind, that I could reach out and shake their hand. I was taking a new approach which came to me recently after watching a Netflix™ movie on the author of A Christmas Carol. In the story, he worked out the details to such an extent that he formed a character in his mind. His walk, speech, everything. Now, after seeing this, I took a similar approach. With all that said, while in the process I decided that I wanted it to be so clear, it would make the most sense to name her Crystal, for that symbol of clarity and focus.
I shared this with Jenine, my partner, and we both agreed - that Crystal was the perfect representation of our ideal client.
Just 30 minutes later, as Jenine was scrolling through her phone, an email notification popped up. It was a consultation request for our private client program. At first, she thought it was a test consultation that I had scheduled while working on our new site. But after asking me, it was clear. Nope, this was a real person.
And guess what her name was? The person who booked the consult.
Yes, you guessed it right. Crystal.
So, in just 30 minutes after creating the ideal client in our minds, she knocked on our virtual door, ready to become a client. It was like the universe had heard my thoughts and delivered exactly what I asked for ready to absorb and grow.
Now, I'm not saying that every time you name your ideal client, they'll show up in your inbox. But what I am saying is that when you're clear to such an extent about what you want, when you can visualize it so vividly that it feels real, life has a way of making things happen.
Since then, I have continued on shaping this person and my connection to solving their problems, and each day I do, more of the business unfolds with the same magic.
It never does get old.
So, my question thats worth asking is..."Are you crystal clear about what you want?" And if not, what’s your plan to get there.
The hardest question for one to answer, and the most important one to unlock is...
'What do you want?'
Perhaps it’s income, or a business solution, or a relationship. Goodness knows, we all have so many things we desire. Sometimes it just takes dedication.
Somethings take a worksheet to gameplan. Sometimes it takes another to guide you through self-discovery. But whatever it takes, remember, clarity is power. And yes often, all it takes is a little bit of focus, a bullseye, and a dash of belief to make magic happen.
