With summer slowly coming to an end, our girls have so many stories to share. Today, we share a glimpse into Fiona’s summer in Tahiti.

“After two years away, this summer I had the chance to return to my roots in Tahiti. As soon as I landed, I went straight to the turquoise lagoon and swam with my old friends the sharks, stingrays and turtles. I enjoyed reconnecting with the people I love and being on the island where I grew up. My soul was filled with the beauty of mother nature and the familiar sound of Tahitian drums vibrating through my skin while I danced. I started dancing at the age of 8 (which from a Polynesian perspective is a late start). I feel connected to my culture through dance, where I can express myself without having to say a word. I love how Tahitian dance can make one look so graceful and show so much strength at the same time. Dance is my passion, my culture, and a significant part of my identity.”
