Dr Malika Grayson | STEM Lover We are excited too!

FIRST LOOK!! I am so excited to share the back of the book cover with y’all.
All types of nervous sweat 😂😂
I was so afraid to share my story. I was afraid that my truth and my feelings weren’t valid enough to share on a big platform. I didn’t want to rock the boat. But if I can’t be honest about my feelings and experiences then I can’t be honest with myself. I need to practice what I preach!
I am sharing my account of my graduate school experiences as a Black woman so those who look like me know that they aren’t the only one and the feelings experienced are valid.
I am sharing my experiences as a Black woman in graduate school so those who don’t look like me can see the perspective and understand the importance of being an ally.
I also want to say, every Black woman’s experience in graduate school/academia is different. My story is just one of many. I encourage my sisters to share their stories! There is room for all our stories, let’s not be afraid to open up.
