NY FarmNet NY FarmNet offers free, confidential financial and personal consulting services to NYS farmers. Services are free, confidential and on-farm.

NY FarmNet is a nonprofit outreach program that offers business planning, financial analysis, and personal skills consulting to existing and startup NY farms, including farms moving to New York State. Cornell University staff and trained consultants work with all types of farms. Our tollfree hotline is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Callers always talk to a live person, never a recorded message.

Rural Minds Webinar: Removing Stigma & Building Mental Wellness in Farm Communities

The next Rural Mental Health Connections Webinar, “Removing Stigma & Building Mental Wellness in Farm Communities,” will take place online May 28, 2026. It is free and open to anyone interested in learning more about the challenges facing farmers and farm communities, along with ways rural residents can support each other and promote mental wellness.

WHO: This free, one-hour educational webinar will feature:

Jolie Foreman, executive director of Shelby County Cares, a nonprofit in Northeast Missouri focused on su***de prevention and community-based solutions that reduce isolation and expand access to mental health support. Her work has received national recognition, including a recent segment on “60 Minutes.”
Thomas Eisenbarth, a farmer, rancher and precision agriculture instructor at Highland Community College in Baileyville, Kansas, and founder of Grounded Ag. He brings a powerful and authentic perspective shaped by his own experiences with the challenges of agricultural life.

WHAT: The professionally moderated conversation will be presented live via Zoom with the option to hear audio as listen-only. A Q&A session will follow. To respect the privacy of participants, only presenters will be visible during the webinar. Attendees will not be seen or identified.
