SOCIAL WORKER II Northampton County Department of Social Services has a vacant Social Worker II position in the Work First Unit. Position requires working with DSS clients to enable them to obtain education, skills and training so that they may become economically self-sufficient. Requires in-depth knowledge of social work skills and excellent communication skills. Position also includes some Income Maintenance Caseworker duties. Must possess a valid state driver’s license. Prefer individuals with innovative and creative ideas. Minimum Education and Experience: BSW from an accredited school of social work; or, four-year degree in a human services field from an accredited college/university and one year directly related experience; or, four-year degree from an accredited college/university and two years directly related experience. SOCIAL WORKER INVESTIGATIVE/ASSESSMENT/TREATMENT POSITION Northampton County Department of Social Services has vacant permanent full-time Social Worker-Investigative/Assessment/Treatment positions which requires working with abused and neglected children, their parents and the court system. This position requires two to three days per month intake in the Services Unit and participation in the agency on-call schedule. Minimum Training and Experience Requirements: MSW from an accredited school of social work and completion of the Child Welfare Collaborative; MSW from an accredited school of social work and one year directly related experience; BSW from an accredited school of social work including completion of the Child Welfare Collaborative and one year directly related experience; BSW from an accredited school of social work and two years directly related experience; Four-year degree in a human services field from an accredited college/university and three years directly related experience; Four-year degree from an accredited college/university and four years directly related experience; Masters degree in counseling from an accredited college/university in a human services field and two years directly related experience. Ability to read, analyze and interpret rules, regulations and procedures. Must possess a valid state driver’s license. One year of experience as an Income Maintenance Caseworker for the Income Maintenance Caseworker II level. Candidates may be considered at the Income Maintenance Caseworker I level which requires as a minimum graduation from high school and three years of paraprofessional, clerical or other public contact experience, which included negotiating, interviewing, explaining information, the gathering and compiling of data, the analysis of data and/or the performance of mathematical or legal tasks.
