The Else School of Management is proud to congratulate Evan Watson, a Master of Accountancy student, on being awarded a $15,000 scholarship from the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB).

The PCAOB Scholarship is a competitive national honor recognizing students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, leadership potential, and a commitment to the accounting and auditing profession. A Pell City, Alabama native, Evan has distinguished himself through his service on the executive councils of SAE and the Finance Club, two summers interning with the Mississippi Office of the State Auditor, and his current role as an analyst for ELSEWORKS.

"Evan is well deserving of the PCAOB scholarship," said Accounting Program Director Dr. Guy McClain. "He consistently excels academically, brings positivity to those around him, and demonstrates an outstanding work ethic."

This recognition reflects both Evan's dedication and the Else School's ongoing commitment to preparing students for meaningful careers in accounting. Please join us in congratulating him on this well-earned achievement.

Forty-two years after he first found his place at Millsaps College, David Culpepper is still there, only now he’s the one standing at the front of the classroom.

Culpepper arrived at Millsaps looking for a small liberal arts college where he could play sports, get involved and find opportunities beyond academics. He left with degrees in chemistry and business, stronger communication skills and at least one story worth retelling: climbing and painting the water tower next door with his future wife, Anne.

His career eventually brought him right back to Millsaps, where he has spent more than four decades teaching business and entrepreneurship while also building a career in the business world.

Meet EJ Ousley 👋 — one of our newest Graduate Certificate in Data Analytics grads, and he's not done yet.

"Through this program, I strengthened my skills in data visualization, statistical analysis, programming, and business analytics while learning how to use data to support informed business decisions. I'm grateful for the professors who challenged me throughout the program and for the opportunities Millsaps College has provided. I'm excited to continue building on this foundation as I pursue my Master of Accountancy!"

EJ is now continuing on to his Master of Accountancy at the Else School — a decision he says came easily. In his words: "Staying at Millsaps was an easy decision because of the relationships I've built and the quality of the Else School's graduate programs."
