FSCJ HOPE Food Pantry The FSCJ Food Pantry is dedicated to serving students through providing food and educational program

In the summer of 2015, a working group at South Campus began an initial investigation and decision-making effort to safely and efficiently operate a facility to provide food to insecure students who attend FSCJ. This group of faculty and staff were concerned about food insecurity as an important factor in student success. They administered a survey to gain data that supported their assumption and

then created a new initiative called the FSCJ Student Food Pantry. In Fall 2016, the Student Engagement Department adopted the Food Pantry Committee’s recommendations and developed an operational plan. With the help of faculty, staff, and students the pantry has been provided enough non-perishable food to open Spring 2017!
