A huge congratulations to all of our graduates! 🎓 We especially want to highlight our student Jadyn Fisher! You can read about Jadyn’s experience here at JSU below!
My name is Jadyn Fisher and I’m from the beautiful Nassau ,The Bahamas, a place known for its stunning beaches and vibrant culture. I’m currently a senior majoring in Cellular and Molecular Biology with a minor in Chemistry. I’ve always been fascinated by how things work at the microscopic level, and this field of study feels like the perfect fit for me. Throughout my time in college, I’ve developed a lot of discipline and resilience through my academic pursuits and extracurricular activities, like being a Resident Assistant for three years. While I’m not particularly into athletics, my involvement in these activities has certainly taught me valuable life skills. In addition to my academic work, I have a passion for creativity, which I express through hobbies like crochet, baking, and making sculptures. These hobbies allow me to unwind and tap into my creative side, and I find great satisfaction in seeing my projects come to life. I’m also a certified Medical Assistant, which has provided me with hands-on experience in the healthcare field and helped me realize my passion for improving lives. One of my favorite quotes is: “Ambition is enthusiasm with a purpose- Frank Tyger,” which serves as a reminder of the greater picture and to stay motivated, especially when faced with challenges. My future goals include furthering my career in the medical field, possibly focusing on research or healthcare administration, with the hope of making a positive impact, especially for communities back home in the Bahamas. My experience at JSU has been a journey of growth, both academically and personally. Balancing my major, extracurricular responsibilities and hobbies has shaped me into the person I am today, and I’m grateful for the opportunities I’ve had here.
