On June 30, 2021 the mac.edu website will permanently shut down. This will include all mac.edu email and all correspondence contained there. We encourage any former students, faculty and staff still using mac.edu to move any email messages and information they wish to preserve (email addresses, files, etc.) as soon as possible.

Basic, practical information from mac.edu, such as how to obtain transcripts, will be transferred to to https://www.macalumfoundation.org/, the website for the foundation and alumni association created in 2020. The College thanks the Foundation for hosting this information. (However, the MacMurray Foundation assumes no liability for the ongoing accuracy of the mac.edu content.)

Please be aware that it is likely that mac.edu domain will be assigned to another college or university in the next 60-90 days. This is because the Department of Education, through a separate entity, regulates and assigns .edu domain names.

The process of shutting down may take several days. Thank you for your understanding. If you have any questions, please contact [email protected].

MacMurray College was located in Jacksonville, Illinois from 1846 to 2020, when it closed after 174 years. After its closure, the MacMurray Foundation and Alumni Association was formed to carry on and continue sharing the College’s legacy and history.

All 2020 MacMurray tax-related forms have been mailed.

MacMurray students will be receiving their Spring 2020 semester 1098-T forms (commonly called “tuition statements”) in the coming days via USPS. All forms were mailed Friday, Jan. 29, according to Robin Weems, MacMurray College administrator. Due to postal delays, please allow up to five business days, or Feb. 5, to receive these forms.

In addition, 1099 forms for independent contractors who worked for the college in 2020, were mailed on the same date.

W-2 forms for 2020 to faculty and staff employees were mailed back in October.

All IRS forms were mailed to the official address on file in the college’s records. If you require a duplicate of a 1098-T, 1099 or W-2, please send an email to [email protected].

This is a reminder about transcripts. It will be posted on social media from time to time as a reminder.

There are two ways to order transcripts now that MacMurray College is permanently closed.
If you graduated in 1990 or later, visit www.mac.edu/alumni and create an account on the Parchment link. Cost is $15 per transcript.

If you graduated before 1990, visit the Illinois Board of Higher Education website and complete this form:
https://www.ibhe.org/pdf/STUDENT_TRANSCRIPT_VERIFICATION_REQUEST_FORM.pdf

The IBHE has MacMurray student transcripts from years 1900-1989. Cost is $10 per transcript payable by check, cashier’s check or money order, made payable to IBHE. In addition, you must mail a self-addressed, stamped #10 envelope to the address shown on the online form. Additional instructions can be found here: https://www.ibhe.org/pbvsClosed.html. The process can take one or more weeks, so you may wish to address the SASE envelope directly to the employer or school seeking them rather than to your home. (Please note: you can’t fax them, nor will they provide transcripts via fax.)

Private Busines & Vocational Schools (PBVS) Closed Schools and Transcript requests. Please note: There is a $10 fee per copy of the student record. IBHE requires a self-addressed, stamped business size #10 envelope for all transcript requests.
