The SBCN Startup Showdown powered by Wells Fargo reaches entrepreneurs throughout the service areas of all 58 North Carolina community colleges. Participants receive entrepreneurship training, mentorship, pitch-development experience, and an opportunity to compete for up to $30,000 in unrestricted startup funding to help turn their business idea into reality.
From a field of approximately 400 businesses statewide, Dan and Rinse-A-Poo have made it down to approximately 16 finalists! 🔥
That means Dan isn't just pitching a product he's representing Coastal Carolina Community College, our Small Business Center, and our entire community on a statewide stage.

💙 Building Stronger Leaders. Strengthening Our Community.

At Coastal Carolina Community College, we love working alongside the agencies and organizations that make our community such a great place to live, work, and serve!
Recently, public safety professionals from multiple agencies, including the Onslow County Sheriff’s Office, Jacksonville Police Department, and Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS), completed three weeks of intensive Leadership in Public Safety Organizations (LPSO) training, sponsored by Coastal Carolina Community College.
Developed by the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), LPSO gives public safety professionals practical leadership tools they can take back to their teams, agencies, and communities.
👏 Congratulations to all of the LPSO graduates!
Coastal is proud to work alongside our local, state, federal, and military partners to create opportunities that strengthen our community and the people who serve it every day.
Great partnerships. Strong leaders. One amazing community. 💙

Good Morning
Our Early Childhood Education Educators Connect Club recently took an important lesson outside the classroom and onto campus!

Using a hot car display, club members demonstrated the dramatic difference between the temperature outside and inside a parked vehicle and just how quickly those temperatures can become dangerous or even deadly for a child.

Students stopped by to see the demonstration, learn important statistics, and hear simple tips that can help prevent a tragic mistake.

A special shout-out and THANK YOU to One Place here in Jacksonville, NC, for allowing our students to use the hot car display and helping make this important educational experience possible! ❤️👏

We’re proud of our Early Childhood Education students for taking what they’re learning and using it to educate others and help keep children in our community safe.

Great job, Educators Connect Club! 👏
