The Jax State residential community is comprised of ten residence halls, eight apartment complexes, and three specialty houses, all within walking distance of the academic buildings on campus. We hope this year will be full of personal growth and educational accomplishments. Please know that our residence life staff is here to assist and support you in the community! On-campus living provides oppo

rtunities for involvement, activities, and knowledge. We believe that learning does not end in the classroom but is enhanced by interacting with a diverse group of residents, participating in leadership opportunities, and engaging in life-learning activities. We also provide multiple Living Learning Communities that support the greater mission of the University and the Office of Housing Operations & Residence Life. At JAX State Housing, we know our residents are more than just a room booking. We want to take a moment to specifically thank our current Day and Night Desk Assistants. You are the steady hands that provide immediate support and ensure every resident feels seen and valued. Thank you for your time, your energy, and the heart you bring to the desk every single day.

Step 1: Check THD Self-Service ⏱️
Log in and check your "Messages." Your room selection date and time are based on when you officially entered the Housing Queue. If you don't see a time, your application is NOT complete.

Step 2: Parental Verification (Under 19) 📧
If you are under 19, your parent/guardian was resent a verification email today. Your application is incomplete until they verify. You can update their email address in THD until April 1 without losing your spot in the queue!

Step 3: Register for GO! (Gamecock Orientation) 🎓
DEADLINE: APRIL 1. If you aren't registered for Orientation by Wednesday, you will be removed from the room selection process and manually assigned by our office.

The Essentials:

Selection Opens: April 6 @ 9:00 AM

Selection Closes: April 30 @ 11:59 PM

Halls Available: North Village, Crow, Curtiss, Dixon, and Fitzpatrick.

Before we head off for Spring Break, we want to highlight one of our seasoned student leaders! ❤️

Meet Kiley Pinson, a Woodstock, GA native and an Exercise Science and Wellness major. Kiley has 3 years of experience as a Resident Assistant, bringing a wealth of knowledge and a "steady, approachable presence" to the team.

Outside of Housing, you can find Kiley working as a student trainer for Jax State Volleyball or participating in the Kinesiology Club and Zeta Tau Alpha. ❤️

Kiley’s Philosophy:
"I try to build a sense of community through the small moments... I want my residents to feel as if they are living with people who see them and support them."

📋 WHAT IS THE QUEUE? This is the official waiting list for assignments. As students cancel or decline their housing between now and August, we use this Queue to fill those empty spots.

⚖️ HOW IS IT RANKED? (Good News) Joining the Queue today does not put you at the "bottom" of the list. The Queue is automatically re-ranked based on your ORIGINAL Application Date.

Translation: You haven't lost your seniority—you just need to get in line.

🗓️ TIMELINE:

Opens: Friday, Feb 13 @ 12:00 PM (Noon).

Closes: Friday, Feb 13 @ 11:59 PM (Midnight).

📍 WHERE CAN YOU LIVE? You are now eligible for Upper Division housing!

Are you in a matched Roommate Group? Only ONE person (The Group Leader - student with the earliest selection time) logs in to select the suite. When they assign themselves, they will pull the rest of the group into the other beds automatically.

If you try to select individually, you will split your group up. Trust your Leader!

Filter: Search for available suites or apartments.

Lock It In: Assign yourself (and your group) to the beds.
