Public Opinion Research Lab at The University of North Florida Through precise survey research, the voice of the public becomes a powerful factor in shaping public policy and aiding in any decision-making

The Public Opinion Research Laboratory (PORL) at the University of North Florida has conducted over 120 public opinion research projects since its opening in March of 2001. PORL has conducted mail, telephone, Internet, E-mail, and self-administered surveys for university researchers, public agencies, non-profit organizations, private businesses, and media clients. We have experience working with a

variety of state and federal agencies, private companies, not-for-profit organizations, and news media sources. We have conducted state and regional projects, and are moving to national general population surveys based on probability sampling. PORL is a charter member of the American Association of Public Opinion Research Transparency Initiative. Dr. Michael Binder is the laboratory's faculty director and Andrew Hopkins, MPA is the assistant director
