Fall Convocation is tomorrow, 11:50 a.m.–1:20 p.m., in the Kirk Denmark Theatre at the Wells Culture Center.

Join faculty, staff, and students as we come together to officially kick off the academic year and welcome our newest students to campus!

This year’s campus theme is Transitions, and our opening convocation will provide an opportunity to connect, reflect, and engage in meaningful conversations about the year ahead.

Coming soon to the URock campus! Intergenerational Technology Services (IGeTS) Mobile is a program that provides one-on-one technology support and training to:

- Adults 50 and older
- Adults 18 and older with disabilities

UW-Whitewater students provide the services at no cost in 30-minute increments.

Starting September 8th, sessions will take place every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

We’re getting ready for the first day of school at URock!

Yesterday, our staff and faculty gathered for a fall retreat to connect, collaborate, and prepare for the upcoming academic year. We discussed programs and plans for the year ahead and had the opportunity to welcome and introduce our new instructors. We’re excited for all that’s to come!

A special thank you to Dean Tricia Clasen for her leadership and dedication to URock. We’re also grateful to Chancellor Corey King and Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Pieter deHart for joining us at URock and helping us kick off another great year.

Welcome Day is happening from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. tomorrow! Check-in begins at 9:30 a.m. in the quad outside the Wells Cultural Center!

All incoming freshmen can leave their mark at URock by putting their handprint in the tunnel.

Throughout the day, students will have the opportunity to meet fellow new students, connect with staff and instructors, and attend helpful breakout sessions. In addition, students can tour the campus and pick up textbooks from the bookstore. Lunch and games will be provided as students discover ways to get involved in the URock community.
