As a national search begins, Assistant Dean of Academic and Student Services Alli Tempel will serve as Interim Dean. Alli brings strong experience in student services, academic support, and campus engagement, along with a deep commitment to VU Jasper students, faculty, staff, and community partners.

Exciting updates are on the horizon for Vincennes University Jasper as we prepare for a new chapter in campus leadership.

Adam Watkins, Assistant Vice President and Dean of VU Jasper, has made the difficult decision to step down from his role for personal and family reasons, effective June 26. We want to extend our deepest gratitude to Adam for his dedicated service, mentorship, and leadership.

As we launch a national search for the permanent position expect an entirely seamless transition. VU Jasper Assistant Dean of Academic and Student Services Alli Tempel will step up to serve as our Interim Dean.

Given her extensive background across Student Activities, Student Services, and Academic Support Services, Alli brings a wealth of institutional knowledge that guarantees our operational momentum will continue without missing a beat.

⭐ Congratulations to Allison Fraze, who was recently named Runner-Up for the Distinguished Chapter Officer Award in the Indiana Region through Phi Theta Kappa.

📝 Allison’s organization, documentation, progress tracking, and willingness to step outside of her comfort zone have made a meaningful impact on both Phi Theta Kappa and the VU Jasper campus community.

💚 Her connection to VU Jasper began long before this recognition. Allison was a Patoka Valley student at VUJ during her time at Forest Park, worked in the VU Jasper Admissions Office, and has been involved on campus since day one.

🎓 As Allison continues through her academic and professional career, we know she will leave a lasting impact wherever she goes.

VU Jasper will operate under summer hours from Monday, May 18, through Friday, August 7. During this time, all University offices will be open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

We may be biased, but our nursing faculty are pretty incredible.

Amy Todd, Assistant Professor of Nursing at VU Jasper, was recently featured by IU FaithNet for her work as a registered nurse, faith community nurse, and co-creator of FaithNet, a program created to help bring emergency mental health services to Martin County. Her work focuses on meeting people where they are, reducing stigma, and making mental health care more accessible in rural communities.

Amy, thank you for not only teaching future nurses, but also making a difference in the communities you serve. 🩵
