Our string faculty had a wonderful time helping prepare the students of Dobyns-Bennett High School for their upcoming side-by-side with the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra! Everyone is sounding great with the leadership of directors Georgia Sinko and Cynthia Carrier!

ETSU’s Orchestra principal cellist Joshua Kovac will perform Dvorak’s cello concerto with the Symphony of the Mountains as the Elizabeth Harper Vaughn concerto competition winner on Saturday 3/16. We hope you can join us.

This Saturday, March 16 at 7:30 pm, Symphony of the Mountains, will present Portraits in Sound: Elgar's Enigma Variations at the ETSU Martin Center. Comprising fourteen theme variations in styles that reflect the character of some of his friends - but without naming them!

This week, the ETSU community mourns the loss of an extraordinary leader and champion of the arts. Dr. Bach's vision and support were pivotal in bringing the ETSU string program to fruition, ultimately culminating in the establishment of the ETSU Symphony Orchestra.
Dr. Bach's legacy lives on in the form of the thriving string program and Symphony Orchestra at ETSU. His dedication and support have left an extraordinary mark on the university, enriching the cultural and artistic landscape for generations to come.
In deep gratitude for his exceptional work, we are committed to preserving and advancing Dr. Bach's vision at ETSU. We will continue to build upon the strong foundation he laid, ensuring that his passion for the arts remains an enduring source of inspiration and excellence for our community.
