ETSU Biological Sciences Welcome to the Department of Biological Sciences at ETSU! Our graduate program is very active and includes a Master of Science research degree and a Ph.D.

We currently have 18 full-time faculty and two lecturers offering courses that help prepare our graduates for careers in the health sciences, natural resource conservation, industry, and academia. program in Biomedical Sciences. One of the strengths of our department is the involvement of undergraduate students in research, with faculty members enthusiastically accepting undergraduates as contribu

The ETSU Biology Spider Lab took on Lincoln, Nebraska for the 2026 American Arachnological Society Annual Meeting! 🕷️

​Congratulations to the research team members from Dr. Thomas Jones' and Dr. Darrell Moore's labs for their presentations:

​• Joe Giulian – Early Career Symposium Talk on spider light history & clock reorganization ⏰

• Caroline Cavin – Talk on rapid re-entrainment & bypassing jetlag in spiders 🛩️

• Raven Ragsdale – Poster on non-24h light cycles & circadian resonance 📊
