Today, the College of Nursing remembers beloved graduate and nurse colleague Jana Clement Flynn on her first birthday (Aug. 30) since her passing earlier this year. Jana held BSN and MSN degrees from ETSU and worked as a family nurse practitioner. She died on April 30 following a battle with ALS. The College of Nursing is deeply proud to announce the creation of the Jana Clement Flynn Memorial Nursing Scholarship, which will support students at Jana's alma mater who are following in her footsteps to become a nurse. The scholarship was established by Jana's friends and family.

The ETSU College of Nursing joins our university and our region in mourning alongside Milligan University. We extend our deepest condolences and stand with our neighbors at Milligan during this difficult time.

Our thoughts are with the families and loved ones, as well as the friends, classmates, faculty, teammates, and coaches who are grieving this heartbreaking loss.
