Hi Jane Addams here! Today I am advocating for self-care among social workers. It is important in the helping profession not only to encourage our clients to take care of themselves, but also to take care of ourselves! As you can see here, one of the ways I like to relax is by painting! What is your favorite way to relax?

Hello USF Social Work Club! This is Jane Addams on a shelf and I will be bring you weekly post on social work practice, ethics , and advocacy! Today I am at my home, the hull house. The Hull House was a settlement house founded in 1889 by Ellen Gates Starr and myself. We started the Hull House to provide social and educational opportunities for working class people of the surrounding neighborhoods! See you next week! -Jane

Social Work Club will be having a Bake Sale February 9th, 10th, and 11th in the Uno Lounge from 11am-1pm! All proceeds will be donated to Day Break Homeless Shelter!

Hey everyone! Today there is a Social Work Club meeting at 3:45 in the Moes room and everyone is welcome to come! We will be discussing all of the current things that are going on in the Social Work Club along with creating a stress relieving craft! Light refreshments will be provided! With final projects, papers, tests, and soon the holidays- we often schedule way too much things with so little time. Remember to find time for yourself, friends, and family. Thanksgiving is about remembering what we are thankful for and reaching out to those we care about. Find the time to share your thankfulness with someone. Who knows- you might make someone's day!
