This year’s showcase included: Heralds of the Herald, Lockdown, and Death in the Delta. They are all available for streaming on ASUTVs YouTube channel!

Lights, Camera, Arkansas: King Snake Now Hiring Local Film Crew

The Arkansas Cinema Society (ACS) is helping recruit approximately 40 paid crew positions for King Snake, the upcoming feature film from Arkansas native and ACS Co‑Founder Jeff Nichols. The film, starring Margaret Qualley, Drew Starkey, and Michael Shannon, will be shooting in Central Arkansas this Spring, and the production is committed to hiring locally whenever possible.

These are paid positions across a wide range of departments, including:
• Stand‑ins
• Cast assistants
• Director’s and producer’s assistants
• Office, location, and set PAs
• Accounting and payroll clerks
• Construction crew + propmakers
• Greens, painters, set dressers, property assistants
• Costumers
• Electricians + rigging electricians
• Grips + rigging grips
• Craft service + catering assistants
• Special effects technicians
• Transportation drivers

ACS is actively gathering applications from Arkansas residents with prior experience in film, television, or commercial production. This project represents a significant investment in our state’s growing film workforce and will generate meaningful economic activity for local businesses, vendors, and creative professionals.
