📈Several honors students were recognized by the State University Neil Griffin College of Business during a Convocation of Scholars awards ceremony for the college last month. 🎓

💲Honors student, Damien Ehie of Jonesboro received the Chancellor’s Scholar Award and 4.0 Scholar Award as the college’s graduating senior with the highest overall grade point average. He will graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting with a minor in Music. He recently defended his honor senior thesis: The Ethnic and Cultural Amalgamation in Buenos Aires and the Evolution of the Argentine Tango.🎶

Several other honors students were recognized: Colin, Reese, Braden, and Isabel. Congratulations to everyone recognized during the event!!!🐺

Incoming A-State honors student, Klaire Harper recently earned acceptance to 87 colleges and universities across the country and has received over $6 million in scholarship offers.

We look forward to welcoming Klaire as she plans to pursue a Chemistry major on a pre-pharmacy track in the fall.

Thesis Thursday: Salma Abdel Karim

Congrats to recent grad, Salma. Her thesis is titled: Anti-Inflammatory Properties of Isoflavones and an Isoflavone-Rich Extract from Pigeon Pea Hairy Root Cultures in RAW 264.7 Macrophages. The project was the culmination of the past year of research in Dr. Medina-Bolivar's Lab.

Thesis Thursday: Andrew Orr

Prior to commencement, Andrew was a regular in the honors office. His thesis is titled: Designing a Steel Bridge: A Structural Overview was successfully defended prior to his recent graduation this spring. He spent hundreds of hours on this project as part of work for multiple courses.

🐺We recently hosted our the annual Honors Recognition Ceremony and Reception. We celebrated all of our graduates. This group includes a small group of students who received special recognition. 🎓

🐺Commencement was Saturday, but our senior spotlight continues. This group includes some of our past ambassadors. Lesleigh was among our student speakers at last week's Honors Recognition Ceremony. 🎓

We will showcase several of our honors graduates in the coming weeks. Congrats grads!!!
