We are proud to see Wesley P Jackson, Assistant Professor of History and Director of the BSE Social Science Program at Arkansas State University, featured in a recent Arkansas Advocate story on helping students understand the events of September 11 through oral histories and firsthand accounts. Through innovative teaching and public history engagement, Dr. Jackson is encouraging students to connect with the human experiences behind one of the most significant events in modern American history.
Stories and personal memories help bring history to life, reminding students that the past is not simply something to be studied, but something that continues to shape our world today. Congratulations to Dr. Jackson for this important work and well-deserved recognition!
