Welcome, Dr. Annie Boyles!

We’re excited to welcome Dr. Annie Boyles to the Department of Psychology & Counseling at A-State!

Dr. Boyles holds a Ph.D. in Human Development & Family Sciences from Texas Tech University, an M.S. in Family Studies from Texas Woman’s University, and a B.A. in Sociology from Texas Tech University.

Her teaching interests include human sexuality and family dynamics, and her research explores sexual violence and intimate relationships during adolescence and emerging adulthood.

This year, Dr. Boyles will be teaching Introduction to Psychology and Abnormal Psychology. She also loves exploring critical theories and bringing media and pop culture into her courses to help students connect psychological concepts to the world around them.

Originally from Arlington, Texas, Dr. Boyles is looking forward to getting to know her students, becoming part of the A-State community, and exploring Jonesboro!

We are excited to welcome our Teacher Residents to campus as they begin training for their year-long residency experience. Over the next year, these future educators will work side-by-side with highly effective mentor teachers while receiving ongoing support and guidance from dedicated university supervisors.

The residency model provides our candidates with authentic, hands-on classroom experiences that help bridge theory and practice, preparing them to make an immediate impact on student learning from day one.

A special thank you to our school district partners for opening your classrooms, sharing your expertise, and investing in the next generation of educators. Your partnership is invaluable as we work together to prepare outstanding teachers who will improve lives and communities.

School Psychology Orientation Day! Welcome to the program!

We are praying for Coach Dixon’s family and his school family.

Tonight, the lights of the Dean B. Ellis Library clock tower will be dimmed in memory of Coach William Earl Dixon III, who was pursuing an online principal certificate at A-State.

Though William pursued his studies from a distance, he was part of our Red Wolves family. Tonight, our campus joins his loved ones, friends, students, colleagues and the Mineral Springs community in remembering his life.

Another school year is here, and so is another year of us giving some awesome area educators "Extra Yard for Teachers" grants for their classrooms!

Applications are open now until Sept. 1. We'll award six teachers $1,000 grants with another selected to receive $1,500.
