Want to stand out to employers? Start with an internship.

According to NACE’s Job Outlook 2026 report, employers say that having an internship with their organization—or within their industry—is the single most influential factor when choosing between two otherwise equally qualified job candidates.

Internships matter more than leadership roles, extracurricular activities, GPA, or even your major. So why not put your energy where it will have the biggest payoff?

The Professional Development Workshop is designed to help you take that next step—preparing you to successfully transition into internships that can open doors, build connections, and ultimately pave the way to your career. It is 1 credit hour that can change everything.

Invest in what employers value most. Your future starts now.
