What is WSEA (Western Student Education Association)?

The Western Student Education Association (WSEA) is affiliated with the Student Michigan Education Association (SMEA) which is a pre-professional organization for people preparing for the teaching profession in any of the higher education institutions in Michigan and who are not regularly employed as educators by an educational institution or

agency.
​
The Michigan Education Association (MEA) and and it's student program help lead education majors to a brighter professional future. The program exists to help students make a smooth transition from the campus to the classroom - to help give students the edge as a teacher in those very important first years.
​
This is where your very own Western Student Education Association comes into play - to help pre-professionals learn about salaries, contracts, the Michigan Test for Teacher Certification Program, evaluations, discipline, certification requirements, and substitute teaching, to name a few.

Join us Thursday, April 9th for crafts, painting and popsicles!! With this being our last meeting of the year we hope to see you all there. If weather allows we would love to get outside if it is nice but if it isn’t we will be in Sangren room 1750 like usual. Can’t wait to see you all there and as always go broncos‼️🐴🎨
