This summer, we caught up with Momoka Ichikawa from Japan, who is now an engineer at DENSO Corporation and recently returned to West Michigan for an employee training program.

Momoka credits WMU’s Center for English Language and Culture for International Students (CELCIS) with helping her build the English skills needed to succeed in a global career. But her experience at Western was about much more than language learning. From football games and Halloween parties to lifelong friendships, Western helped her discover all that life in the United States has to offer.
