Quadstock 2026 was packed with incredible performances, talented musicians, and a community that showed up ready to celebrate. Music, sunshine and a crowd that was full of energy all day long. It’s Black Joy Week at Kalamazoo College, a time for students, faculty and staff to recharge, connect and celebrate through music, movement, wellness and shared experiences! We had a beautiful afternoon for today’s picnic, but don’t forget about the events we have coming for the rest of the week including:

• A fundraiser for Cradle Kalamazoo at https://ow.ly/XXG350Z1SwV.
• A 3-on-3 basketball tournament from 4:30–6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Find registration at https://ow.ly/HU2Z50Z1SwU
• Wellness Wednesday with paint, punch and popsicles from 11 a.m.–1 p.m. on the Quad.
• Throwback Thursday dancing with the Black Student Organization and music provided by Ron Dillard from 11 a.m.–1 p.m. on the Quad.
• A scavenger hunt from 12:01 a.m.–11:59 p.m. Friday at multiple outdoors locations on campus, the Upjohn Library Commons and the Hicks Student Center.

Artists, poets, nonfiction writers and fiction authors have officially joined a legacy of Kalamazoo College students such as contemporary artist Julie Mehretu ’92 and Tony Award winner Lisa Kron ’83 as their work was published in “The Cauldron.” The publication’s 2026 edition was unveiled today in a community reflection at Stetson Chapel!
