Working alongside the brilliant design team at Heatherwick Studio, this new stadium will be the centerpiece of the Sports Quarter and nestled in the heart of East Birmingham.

Embodying the grit and tenacity of the community while honoring the club’s storied past, this stunning new centerpiece will be designed for Bluenoses and the Birmingham faithful.

We’re so excited to design the new stadium for Birmingham City FC alongside the brilliant team at Heatherwick Studio and Steven Knight, iconic film director, writer and lifelong Blues fan.

A centerpiece of the Sports Quarter nestled in the heart of east Birmingham, the Club’s new home will include plans for high-performance training facilities and robust mixed-use real estate.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Heatherwick Studio to design an extraordinary new stadium for Birmingham City Football Club,” said David Manica, president and owner, MANICA Architecture. “We’ll not only help usher in a new era for Birmingham fans but honor the Club’s passionate supporters and storied history.”

Thrilled to partner with Heatherwick Studio to design an extraordinary new home for Birmingham City FC, ushering in a new era for the Birmingham faithful and its passionate fan base.

Chairman, Tom Wagner, has named Heatherwick Studio and MANICA as the Sports Quarter stadium design and architect team.

Speaking at the Regional Investment Summit in Edgbaston alongside Chancellor Rachel Reeves, Blues' co-owner outlined the stadium collaboration, which will see multi-award-winning British designers Heatherwick Studio partner with Kansas-based architectural powerhouse MANICA. They will be supported by Steven Knight, the iconic film writer/director and lifelong Blues fan.

This exciting partnership has vowed to deliver a project that will be “truly extraordinary, recognisable around the globe, yet rooted in the history of Birmingham”. Further details, including design imagery of the stadium will be released in the coming weeks.
