UMKC Arts & Sciences Student Council This is the new and improved Arts and Sciences Student Council! Let us hear your opinions on us. Are

The purpose of this organization shall be to provide the students of the College of Arts and Sciences with the opportunity to become more involved in the decision and policy making of the College of Arts and Sciences. The organization will have the power to provide for efficient disbursement of authorized budgeted funds in the best interests of the students in the College of Arts and Sciences. The

council must be sure to insure that the needs, desires and attitudes of the Arts and Sciences student body are adequately and correctly represented to the administration of the College of Arts and Sciences and to the administration of UMKC as a whole. Through this council student faculty interaction and communication will be enhanced. The last purpose of this council will be to represent the interests of the Arts and Sciences student body within the Student Government Association.

This week's Physics and Astronomy Colloquium will feature Yale University Professor Marla Geha who will discuss on-going research about how the inventory of low mass galaxy satellites in orbit around the Milky Way Galaxy have doubled in the past few years. All students are welcome.
