Spring semester EMR and EMT students working on their assessment skills for medical emergencies. If you’re interested in starting your career in EMS or Fire Service, we have the EMS education programs for you. Enrollment for the summer and fall semesters begin April 1st. Here, freshmen paramedic students are working through several medical emergency scenarios, including diabetic emergencies, allergic reactions, and Lupus exacerbation. During this semester, the students learn how to manage a wide range of medical emergencies, while developing their assessment, critical thinking, and patient care skills. If you’re interested in joining the next paramedic cohort this coming August and want more information about the program, pre-requisites courses, or an application packet, please contact the program director at [email protected] or 913-288-7208. Only one week left to enroll in an EMR or EMT class for the spring semester. We have spots still available in our EMR classes, M/W afternoon and evening classes, and T/Th morning class. For those who have completed the EMR course, we have spots available in our T/Th evening EMT class. Contact the program director at [email protected] to learn how you can enroll.
