Momentum Building This Spring
Dear Blue Devil Family, Alumni, and Friends,
We wanted to take a moment to reconnect and share an update on KCKCC Baseball.
The Blue Devils are currently 21–11 and starting to show what they're capable of. Over the past few weeks, we’ve seen growth in competitiveness, toughness, and responsiveness — the traits that have defined our program at its best.
More importantly, this team is beginning to play with consistency, energy, and intent — and that’s where real progress happens.
Recent Game Highlights
🔹 Strong Run in Conference Play
Over the last two weekends, we’ve taken a step forward as a group — competing well, executing better, and continuing to build depth throughout the lineup and pitching staff.
🔹 Coffeyville Series
• Key wins including 9–2 and 13–9
• Home runs from Tolk, Kern, and Musil
• Contributions throughout the lineup
• Bullpen stepping up in key moments
What stood out: our ability to stay locked in and respond in competitive games
🔹 Labette Series
This weekend showed another level of growth — especially in consistency and offensive ex*****on.
Series Highlights:
• Wins of 8–1, 26–1, 24–0, and 29–0
• Multiple games with double-digit runs
• Production up and down the lineup
• Strong starting pitching performances
24–0 Win Snapshot:
• 15 hits, 24 runs
• HRs: Dawson, Hicks, Vann, Musil
• Multiple multi-hit performances
• Will Kennedy: 5 IP, 3 H, 0 ER, 9 K
What stood out: depth, ex*****on, and the ability to build innings offensively

Remembering Barry Davies
On a difficult note, the Blue Devil Baseball family recently lost Barry Davies, who had a meaningful impact on many connected to our program and the local baseball community.
His influence will not be forgotten, and we will honor his impact in a meaningful way this season.
Building the Future of KCKCC Baseball
As we continue to move the program forward, we have begun early conversations around two important initiatives:
• Batting Cage Facility Project
Improving our ability to train and develop players year-round
• Blue Devil Impact Scholarship Fund
Helping bridge the scholarship gap and expand opportunities for our student-athletes
We are currently looking to reconnect with a small group of alumni and supporters who may be interested in participating in an initial brainstorming meeting to help guide these efforts.
This is not a fundraising ask — simply an opportunity to reconnect, share ideas, and help shape the program's future.
