A huge thank you to the Kansas Association of Nurse Anesthetists (KANA) for supporting the next generation of CRNAs! 💙

KANA provided funding for three of our SRNAs, Kayla Luke, McKenzie Jones, and Shannon Simone, to attend the AANA Annual Congress in Boston!

This was an incredible opportunity for them to learn from leaders in nurse anesthesia, connect with CRNAs and SRNAs from across the country, and represent the University of Kansas.

We are so grateful to KANA for investing in our students and their professional development, and we can’t wait to hear about Kayla, Mckenzie, and Shannon’s experience.

The Class of 2029 has officially completed their first semester of the program! 🎉

This fall, they’ll take the next big step as they begin clinicals and enter the OR. We’re so excited to watch their knowledge, confidence, and skills grow as they put everything they’ve learned into practice.

We can’t wait to see what’s ahead! 💙

The event will be hosted by the class of 2027 at Union Horse Distilling Co. in Lenexa, KS.

Congratulations to the KU DNAP Class of 2026! We are incredibly proud of all you have accomplished and excited to watch you continue to grow as leaders in anesthesia care. This class is taking its talent and training across the country, from the nation’s capital to Alaska, the US military, and of course- right here in Kansas. Congrats to our seniors finishing up clinical this month!! It is hard to believe graduation is only a couple of weeks away. So proud of all the hard work you have put in to get here and so excited for everything that is ahead for you guys! 🎉👏🏻

This semester, Class of 2027 completed their central line placement simulation! Building confidence with ultrasound, maintaining sterility, and refining their technique as they prepare to bring this skill to the OR!
