A path built for remembrance, reflection, and the future ahead. 🌿

This year, Southwestern Adventist University’s senior class dedicated The Path of Promise. A new walking path surrounding Callicott Park created as the Class of 2026 Senior Gift.

More than a physical addition to campus, the path stands as a symbol of journey, growth, community, and hope for future generations of students who will walk it in the years ahead. The dedication also honored the memory of fellow senior Wizan “Wiz” Sebulburo, whose creativity, leadership, faith, and joyful spirit left a lasting impact on the Southwestern community.

As students, alumni, and visitors walk The Path of Promise, may it serve as a reminder of the lives, memories, friendships, and legacy that continue to shape this campus.

Today, we honor and remember those who gave their lives in service to our country. 🇺🇸

At Southwestern Adventist University, we do not take for granted the freedoms and opportunities we have to learn, worship, grow, and serve in this nation. As the flag stands over our campus, we pause in gratitude for the sacrifices that made those freedoms possible.

May we continue to live with purpose, service, and compassion in honor of those who gave so much.

Commissioned to serve with purpose, humility, and faith.

During our Theology Commissioning Ceremony, graduating theology students were recognized and prayed over as they prepare to continue serving through pastoral ministry, chaplaincy, evangelism, and spiritual leadership.

The evening brought together faculty, pastors, alumni, church leaders, families, and fellow students in a moment of dedication and encouragement for the next generation entering ministry.

Pastor Daniel Ortega, president of the Oklahoma Conference and SWAU alumnus, reminded students to “keep the main thing the main thing,” encouraging graduates to center their ministry on Christ above programs, titles, or recognition.

The ceremony also recognized incoming students entering the Pastoral Ministry Certification Program, reflecting the continued growth and legacy of ministry leadership within the Theology Department.

The ceremony also celebrated student achievement through recognitions for leadership, internship excellence, community impact, academic growth, and service across the Education and Psychology departments.
