James Sprunt Community College recorded an 83% increase in full-time equivalent enrollment from 2018–19 to 2024–25—the highest growth of any college in the North Carolina Community College System.

This growth is something to celebrate, and sustaining it reinforces the importance of continued investment in the people, facilities and resources needed to serve our students well.

We’re kicking off Career Exploration & Workforce Readiness Month by highlighting partnerships that strengthen our local workforce.

Eight Precision Hydraulic Cylinders employees recently completed 24 hours of hands-on precision measurement training through a partnership with JSCC’s NCEdge Customized Training and Industrial Systems Technology programs.

The training prepared employees to pursue six industry-recognized NC3 certifications while building valuable skills they can put to work on the job.
