We’re proud to spotlight Andrew Cox and the leadership perspective he’s built. His story is a reminder that growth isn’t just about experience; it’s about how you choose to lead along the way.

Over time, Andrew has come to believe that a meaningful career isn’t just built on what you accomplish, it’s shaped by whom you choose to be along the way.

With more than two decades of healthcare leadership experience, Andrew credits his MBA with strengthening both his confidence and his perspective. The program didn’t just introduce new concepts; it gave language and structure to the leadership principles he had been developing throughout his career.

Through the program, Andrew refined his ability to slow down, ask better questions, and make thoughtful decisions, even when the path forward isn’t clear. More importantly, it reinforced a belief he carries into his work every day: that great leadership lives in the balance between confidence and humility.

Today, as Chief of Staff and Vice President of Leadership at Wellstar Health System, those lessons show up in quiet but meaningful ways: building trust, aligning teams, and helping others move forward with purpose. Because for Andrew, leadership isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about having the courage to step forward, the humility to keep learning, and the discipline to do the right things for the right reasons.

Meet Ana Bernardino, our Evening MBA Owl of the Month! 🦉

She is already leading with purpose in her very first semester here at KSU, and we're proud to spotlight her.✨

As a first-generation Latina student, her decision to pursue an MBA is about more than professional advancement. It’s about taking on greater responsibility, creating meaningful impact, and honoring her parents’ sacrifices through leadership and service.

Currently serving as an Assistant Director in the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid, she’s already applying what she’s learning in real time. Even in her first semester, the MBA coursework has strengthened her ability to think strategically, improve processes, approach challenges with an open mindset, and foster stronger team morale. She’s learning to step back, evaluate systems, and identify opportunities to make them more effective; skills that elevate both her leadership and her organization.

Looking ahead, her goal is to grow as a bold, intentional leader who embraces challenges as opportunities. Whether advancing within higher education and financial aid, leading a nonprofit, or building a local business, she is committed to driving change, innovation, and collaboration with purpose and confidence. We can’t wait to see the impact she continues to make. 💛

For Jessica N. Bailey, MBA, the WebMBA experience was more than earning a credential. It was about building confidence, sharpening perspective, and gaining practical tools she uses every day.

Earning her MBA expanded Jessica’s access to leadership opportunities, but more importantly, it gave her the confidence to pursue them. Through repeated practice analyzing complex problems, presenting recommendations, and defending decisions, she developed skills that continue to shape her career trajectory.

Jessica also credits the program’s strong sense of community as one of her biggest takeaways. The relationships she built have become a trusted network of professionals who provide insight, support, and perspective long after graduation, serving as an external “board of directors” that helps her grow intentionally and think expansively.

Meet Briahna Stabler, our Evening MBA Owl of the Month! 🦉

She is making an incredible impact in the MBA program, earning a 4.0 in her first semester and pursuing the General Management concentration as a future .

"Choosing to pursue my MBA at Kennesaw State University was rooted in a belief that has guided me throughout my life: you should never stop learning. My mother has been a huge inspiration to me, earning her doctorate and continuing her education even in retirement. Both of my parents instilled in me the importance of keeping my mind sharp, and pursuing this degree is my personal commitment to continuous growth.

Throughout the program, I have been able to immediately apply what I am learning to my role as an Enrollment Services Marketing and Communications Specialist at Kennesaw State. Bringing theory into practice in real time has allowed me to introduce new ideas, share emerging marketing trends with my team, and contribute to innovative approaches in our work. The program has also strengthened my leadership perspective and expanded my professional skill set, helping prepare me for the next phase of my career.

Following completion of my MBA, my goal is to move into a leadership role within marketing where I can use the strategic and analytical skills I have developed to drive innovation, support team growth, and help organizations navigate new challenges successfully. I am grateful for the opportunity to continue learning, growing, and building toward the future."
