Responding to the need for an organization that would provide empowerment to women of all cultural backgrounds, on April 9th, 1990 Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority, Inc. The humble beginnings started at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa. However, not long after with confident yet soulful steps, soon spread all throughout the nation. Sigma Lambda Gamma is committed to the academic

, social and professional success of its members. Conformed of women from over 109 different nationalities, this sisterhood understands the power, and potential of different cultures, even more the unity amongst them. For this reason, through great effort, passion, and determination Sigma Lambda Gamma is the largest, fastest growing, historically Latina-based national sorority with a multicultural membership in chapters and alumnae associations throughout the United States. The personal growth of the unique, courageous, and peace driven individuals within our organization is a priority, while always keeping in mind the strength within maintaining respect and loyalty to one another. One of the things that set her apart, are the amazing women she surrounds herself with. Individuals with great potential and every intention to help each other along the great journey they each are sure to embark...

She just crossed the stage as a proud graduate with a degree in Biological Sciences (Pre-Vet concentration), and we couldn’t be more proud! 🧬🐾 Her passion, perseverance, and purpose have carried her through this journey — and it’s only the beginning.

As a shining sister of the Zeta Epsilon Chapter, she’s embodied strength, sisterhood, and service every step of the way. 💜💫

🌸💜 April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, and the Zeta Epsilon Chapter stands in solidarity with survivors and victims of sexual assault. We are committed to fostering a supportive environment and providing resources to those in need. 🌸💜

If you or someone you know has been affected by sexual assault, please reach out to the following local resources in Kenosha, WI:

🌸 Women & Children's Horizons: Offers support, shelter, education, training, and healing services to victims of sexual and domestic abuse.

💜 Aurora Healing Center: Provides specialized advocacy and support services for survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence.

🌸 University of Wisconsin-Parkside Resources: Confidential counselors and nurse practitioners are available, along with a confidential advocate from Women and Children's Horizons on Wednesdays.

💜 Carthage College Victim-Survivor Support Services: Offers free and confidential services covering sexual harassment/violence, relationship violence, stalking, bullying, and hate/bias incidents.

🌸 Kenosha County Victim-Witness Advocate: Provides advocacy for crime victims and witnesses.

💜 Remember, you are not alone. Support is available, and together, we can work towards a community free from sexual violence.

🗓February Recap🗓

With the blink of an eye, February has come and gone! We are already one whole month into the semester, and with that, we want to recap all the fun things we did in February 🎉

We did some recruiting at our school's involvement fair, where our advisor and alumni showed support. Our sib Crystal went to the USHLI conference and had an amazing experience. Our sib Alexis donated blood through the school's blood drive, and we tabled at our school's basketball game! We also had the experience of going to Carthage College to table there and interact with some D9 and other multi cultural orgs!

February was a month full of new experiences, and we can not wait to see what March brings 🩷💜

Earlier this month, we attended the biannual involvement fair where we were able to tell people all about our organization! We were also able to connect with other sororities, fraternities, and multi cultural orgs 🤗

Having the ability to share with people what our organization is all about is always an amazing experience! We can't wait to continue sharing with you all about this amazing organization 💜🩷

Introducing #4️⃣8️⃣ Alexis “Nokolena” Winters. Alexis is a psychology, sociology, and criminal justice major. She crossed the fall of 2023 as part of the Nu line.

Introducing #4️⃣9️⃣ Crystal “TlaXtayetzli” Ruvalcaba. Crystal is a biological sciences major with a Pre-Vet focus and with a minor in Spanish. She crossed the fall of 2023 as part of the Nu line.
