With very heavy heart we sadly announce that the University of Wisconsin Parkside has decided to close WIPZ. We are so sorry and we tried everything we could to keep the music going. Statement below.

The decision was made last Friday by the university and SUFAC chairperson to not renew the license in light of the rising costs and low student interest. we'll be working with students next fall on a podcast club/studio which everyone agrees is a good use of space and equipment, and more importantly will help students build future skills for this next wave of on-demand entertainment and education. Will always have fond memories of the station and its members!
